The offices of Communication Arts, a graphic design magazine based in Menlo Park. A complete rehab of an existing tilt-up concrete commercial space. Skylights were created, building facades punched open and landscape elements introduced into the building. Remnants of the original building were left in place as reminders of the past use.
An energy efficient Passiv Haus design, using site salvaged materials and off site recycled lumber and stone. Board formed concrete, ground concrete floors, a uniquely textured integral colored stucco, and triple paned European doors and windows.

A home built in 1890 in College Terrace, Palo Alto. The second floor burned in the 30's and stucco was applied over the original siding. The discovery process unveiled rotted structure, asbestos in all the plaster walls, an inferior stucco application, and a failing foundation. All new siding, foundation, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and interior finishes are in process.
Built for Bob Glazier and his family, the home respects the Palo Alto Mediterranean sensibility with modern interior touches. Hand scraped hickory floors throughout and 25 olive trees were planted around the home.
A Woodside home with Tuscan architecture, hand hewn 200 year old ceiling beams, hand applied plaster walls and ceilings, with imported French roof tiles. A pool house, guest house and extensive landscaping complete the project.
